Let Me Introduce: Demo Project for Bézier Curves

21. November 2014 22. November 2014 - 14:39 Fabian Deitelhoff

From day to day it is very frustrating to develop projects, stuff for my study and things like that and then… yes then… just let the source code rot in my code repositories. Or delete them right away because I know that I do not need those projects anymore. That’s very frustrating. And as Scott Hanselman wrote – dozen of others wrote that too – it’s time to publish those countless open source projects. That’s my new mindset and goal for all those hundreds thousands of lines of code. In whatever language I wrote them. Whatever technology and IDE I was using at that time. I try to publish all of those projects, separated into single blog post with some screenshots, code examples, explanations or whatever it take to show what I’ve done or tried to achieve :).

Let Me Introduce: The StudioStyler

26. August 2014 22. November 2014 - 22:51 Fabian Deitelhoff

Twainsoft Studio StylerThere are many styles for Visual Studio. Especially for this thing called syntax highlighting. In my early years as a software developer I never cared about the way my editor looks like. I was very happy with the standard style. But my mind changed rapidly.

I wanted some other syntax highlighting settings and I love the Visual Studio dark theme. As editor style I use the Son of Obsidian settings and I’m very satisfied with them. But there’s this site called http://studiostyl.es/. You can download dozens of new styles. And every day there are a few more. There was just one tiny problem from my perspective. I just don’t want to visit this site every time I want to try another style :).

And because I’m a developer, I changed this. First for me, now for all others too!

Let Me Introduce: The Twitter Trends Terminator

12. August 2014 22. August 2014 - 12:59 Fabian Deitelhoff

The Mighty Twitter Trends TerminatorI love Twitter. I really do. Its a great source of information for me. Especially in the area of software development. But I have to admit that I hate those Twitter trends. Those words, tiny sentences or hashtags. They try to tell me what’s important or hipp. But in most cases, in fact 99.9% of those cases, I just found them very annoying. Not useful, inspiring, funny or whatever. Just stupid and annoying.

Of course thats just my opinion and I think there are dozens of teens people out there crying when they’re watching some of „their“ topics trending right now. Completely fine for me. But I just don’t want to see them any more.

That was the birth of the mighty Twitter Trends Terminator. Send back through space and time, awoken naked somewhere out there to hunt those Twitter trends down. Forever. Not just hiding them somewhere. Just as my old friend Darth Sidious told me long ago:

Wipe Them Out. All of Them! Darth Sidious (YouTube)
